THE LOIRE, A FRENCH ROCOCO STYLE TRADITIONALLY HANDCARVED FROM NATURAL BATHSTONE AT OUR WORKSHOPS IN SOMERSET. The very last picture shows the red brick surround that was in insitu before we took it out.We used the shape in the wall to its best advantage by creating solid stone curved slips,then going back into the recessed chamber.This surround was 1 of 3 that we have fitted for this customer. Our stone was carved to such a high quality that it passed a Formula 1 Chief engineers standards.Now head of the aforementioned team.
